This Foundation, under the energetic and able leadership of President Peter Charapko, provides scholarship help to worthy undergraduates. In fact, the recipients often are '71's own sons and daughters!

The Class’s One Foundation
Most of us are like to be at least slightly amazed at the approach of our 35th Reunion. Certainly we are living through the adage that it seemed just like yesterday when we left the steps of Nassau. Having struggled w/ this and other memorable occasions, I take comfort in the notion that to remember these events so clearly is to exhibit a lucid mind and memory. (What if we could not recollect our very commencement?)
There is one event which is probably not that retrievable by most classmates, and that is the establishment of the Princeton University Class of 1971 Foundation. That was at our Tenth Reunion in June of 1981. Thus we are now in the twenty-seventh year of the Foundation.
What it is, what it is
By now most Classmates know that the main task of the Foundation is the raising and granting of funds for scholarships. Many of these gifts have gone to the children of classmates, who are given prior consideration by the University for dispensing these scholarship funds.
In a major reunion year such as this, it is reasonable to ponder that funds from the Foundation help enable a student to experience his or her own reunion even of the future. Speaking of the well-rounded student
